I thought I’d share some of my photographs I took on my trip to the Botanic Gardens. It was a class trip since we were having a few lessons in photography. Photography has been something I wish I was better at but with a basic compact camera it’s not helped as well as having very little confidence in taking pictures. During the classes we looked at various elements in photography such as lighting, composition and shutter speeds, all of which did take time to get used to but with a little practice I found myself thinking about all the various aspects before taking a photograph.
I’m really glad we got the opportunity to have a small insight in photography and have given me the confidence I needed to get a little more adventurous when taking photographs. I’ve also learnt a compact camera shouldn’t stop you from taking photographs since the image on the small camera screen isn’t very convincing but once you’ve dragged your files onto a bigger screen, you will find your photographs looked better than you thought.
